Inoculations, Visa Application and Passport

The Hajj Group (Philadelphia Tri-state area) annually applies for group inoculations (approximately one month prior to departure) from a local doctor who verifies on the required "International Certificate of Vaccination" form (yellow card). You can go to a doctor of your choice. The time, date and place will be announced for the group inoculation at one of the workshops. The due date for the submission of the shot verification will be mailed to registered travelers and posted on the site closer to departure. For those of you who are out of the area, meningitis is the required inoculation recorded on the, "International Certificate of Vaccination" form (yellow card). However, requirements change from year to year, check the site closer to departure time to make sure the requirement are still the same before you get your shots.

Visa applications will be submitted by Al-Mu'adhdhan Hajj Group as a group submission. Print the visa application sign it and send in when requested or type in the form, print, sign and send in visa application you can type in.

If you intend to make hajj, APPLY FOR YOUR PASSPORT NOW! Currently, there is a huge backup of passport applications. They have been much harder to get and even when you expedite it the time is longer than usually. We will need your passport before departure, apply now! Each traveler must apply for their own passport! Passport applications are available at the following Philadelphia US Post Offices:

The Customs Service Office, 2nd & Chestnut Streets, Philadelphia, PA will only handle your request for a visa if you are leaving within fifteen days (expedited passport - fee charged) and have letters from us verifying your departure date. For more information on the above locations call: 1.800.275.8777. Out of town travelers please check with your local post office.

Travelers (males and females) who have heads covered on your passport photos need to include a letter with your passport application stating you are Muslim and cover your head for religious reasons or your application and photos will be be returned to you and cause unnecessary delays. Visit the online passport service site. APPLY IMMEDIATELY! We will contact you about your Visa. If your passport is current please check to make sure you have at least four empty pages in it, if not send your passport in to have more pages added to it.
